Exchange Quay Metrolink station is a Manchester Metrolink station serving the Salford Quays area.

The station opened as part of the first stage of the Eccles extension in 1999. The station is located within Zone H.

Services

Exchange Quay is located on the Eccles Line with trams towards Eccles or MediaCityUK stopping every 12 minutes during the day Monday-Saturday, with trams running to Manchester Piccadilly via Cornbrook every 6 minutes. Trams run every 12 minutes Monday-Saturday evenings and Sunday daytime and every 15 minutes Sunday evenings between Manchester Piccadilly and Eccles, which calls at MediaCityUK[1].

Connecting bus routes

Exchange Quay station is served by Arriva North West services 71 and 73, which stops outside the station on Ordsall Lane. The service runs to Clifton via Pendleton and Swinton and to Manchester Shudehill Interchange. Arriva service 70 also serve the station on Sundays, which also runs to Manchester and to Clifton, although via Eccles.

The station is also served by services stopping on Trafford Road. First Manchester service 53, which runs to Pendleton and to Cheetham Hill via Rusholme, Gorton and Harpurhey, while Arriva service 69 runs to Eccles via Ordsall and Pendleton and to Stretford via Old Trafford [2].
